Kathleen Moon
Kathleen Moon is a South East Queensland–based artisan jewellery designer and glass‑bead artist whose work celebrates colour, texture, and story.
Inspired deeply by the natural world, she gravitates toward materials that hold their own quiet magic — semi‑precious stones, Italian Moretti glass, sterling silver, freshwater pearl, and the shimmering brilliance of facetted Czech and Swarovski crystals.
For more than twenty years, Kathleen has curated an eclectic, ever‑growing collection of beads: rare finds, handmade treasures, and pieces gathered from artists and markets across the world. Every bead has a history, and every design becomes a new chapter.
Her one‑of‑a‑kind creations have earned recognition from Swarovski, Australian beading magazines, and even Queen Elizabeth II, reflecting the distinctiveness and craftsmanship that define her practice. Kathleen designs both signature collections and bespoke custom pieces, working closely with clients who want jewellery that feels personal, intentional, and truly unique.
Her work has been exhibited widely, from galleries across Mackay and the Whitsundays to the Southern and Darling Downs, as well as the prestigious Beaded Links Royal Exhibition in Melbourne — curated by Jumoke Debayo.
